Hello to all my fellow classmates who are toiling away at Grayslake this weekend. I hope to be at class on Sunday, but I will miss Saturday’s class. My grandmother passed away this week and I am in Kentucky for her funeral. She was 93 years old and greatly loved by her family and friends. As a tribute to her, I am posting this digital story about my family that I made in media services class.

So sorry about the passing of your grandmother. I really enjoyed your digital story. I spent many years compiling my own family tree and finally printed a completed manuscript for my own children back in 2001. I know how much time, effort, and emotion goes into such a research project. How wonderful for you and your family to preserve your family story so that the life and spirit of your grandmother can continue on for future generations.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother’s passing. I really enjoyed watching your digital story about her. I also completed my own family tree project back in 2001, and I know how much time, effort, and emotion goes into such a lenghtly research project. How great for you and your family to have such a nice record of your family’s history to share with future generations. Your grandmother’s life and spirit can live on a long time…

Fabulous! What a great story, and so well done. Were the first settlers Scots or Scots/Irish? Lots of those folks ended up in Kentucky.

That was so fun and amazing to watch! We loved it! It’s wonderful that your uncle Gordon was able to put all the stories together in a way that will be passed on for generations to come! Thanks for sharing it…p.s. your voice was perfect!
